Educated at Durham School and Oxford University, Tom has worked in some of the UK’s leading independent schools where he has been a Head of Department, a Housemaster, Deputy Head and Acting Head. He joined Cardiff in January 2020 and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the College. Passionate about education and the holistic development of young people, Tom seeks to intellectually challenge students and assist them in their quest for mastery of their academic disciplines. He lives in Cardiff which, he is often keen to remind people, is a place where you can watch world class opera and theatre, eat world class food and witness world-class sporting events – all of which he enjoys doing. Outside College, he enjoys reading, photography, music, sport and spending as much time as possible outside with his partner and children.
