Paisley joined Cardiff Sixth Form College in 2017, after completing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with International Study) at the University of Nottingham. Starting as a Graduate Residential Assistant, she has progressed within boarding, becoming a House Parent in 2018, and more recently a Senior House Parent in 2021. Having suffered from homesickness whilst studying abroad during her degree, she wants to ensure that all students are well supported whilst living in boarding, so that they are able to thrive during their time at Cardiff Sixth Form College.
Whilst studying towards her degree, Paisley had an interest in studying the impact of psychology within education, and mental health in children and young people. She also worked alongside the Widening Participation and Outreach team at the university to promote higher education amongst high school students aged 13 to 18. Since leaving university, the work she undertook in her final year has been published in the Journal of Neurophysiology.
