A move to a new city or country is always exciting whatever your age and wherever you are from. Some aspects of living in the UK may seem very different at first, however Cardiff Sixth Form College is proud to have such a diverse culture with students coming from all over the world so hopefully you will soon feel very much at home.
The Guardianship form, Medical form and Food Allergy form must be filled in and returned before we apply for your (CAS) Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies to allow you to apply for a visa. They are extremely important in terms of safeguarding the students we have with us and are vital in case of emergency.
Cardiff Sixth Form College sets the highest standards in safeguarding the welfare of every student and requires parents who do not live in the UK to appoint a guardian to act on their behalf for all students regardless of age. Appointing a guardian is a parental responsibility. The law protects the right of children and makes ‘proper and appropriate care’ a compulsory requirement. The UKVI also requires a letter from parents confirming the care arrangements they have put in place for their child as part of the visa application.
