CSFC Open Day Welcomes Prospective Students and Families.
Cardiff Sixth Form College hosted its first Open Day of the year in October, inviting prospective students and their families to experience the college’s dynamic learning environment firsthand. The event began with a warm welcome from Principal Tom Arrand, who highlighted the unique advantages of studying at Cardiff Sixth Form College, from its rigorous academic standards and supportive staff to its extensive extracurricular opportunities that encourage students to grow beyond the classroom.
Following the principal’s introduction, attendees heard from Head Student Thara, who shared her personal experiences and journey at the college. Thara spoke about the supportive academic culture, the strong friendships she had built, and the variety of opportunities available to students for both academic and personal development.
Families then enjoyed a guided tour led by current students and had the opportunity to meet subject teachers, exploring the areas of study that interested them most. In Chemistry, for example, attendees were treated to eye-catching demonstrations.
A second Open Day is scheduled for January 2025. [Register here].
