Head Student for the current academic year is Thara, who is from Cardiff and is studying Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and French at A Level. She hopes to go on to read Medicine at university and outside of school, has represented Wales at cricket, achieved her diploma in Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance) and is a Young Ambassador for a national charity supporting young people’s health across the UK (AYPH).In college, she is a member of the debate team and NASA Society, through which she has participated in many competitions.
Jonathan is one of our Deputy Head students. He is studying Economics, English Literature, Psychology and History at A Level and hopes to read Law at university. He hails from Lagos, Nigeria and enjoys swimming, volleyball and music when not studying.
Another Deputy Head student is Hiya, who is studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Physics at A Level and hopes to study Economics / Economics and Mathematics at Harvard university. Hiya lives in Cardiff and is originally from Kolkata, India. She is the Principal 2nd Violinist in the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, an international chess player, as well as a keen debater and part of team UK for the European Youth Parliament. In addition, she is active in fundraising for Ty Hafan children’s charity.
Our final Deputy Head student is Ethan, from Hong Kong. Ethan is studying Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry and aims to read Physics at university. Pictured in the lead role in last year’s school production of Aladdin, he is a keen member of our performing arts society (‘Glee’) and his other hobbies include basketball, fencing and being an amateur barista!
