15% of Cardiff Sixth Form College students have gained places at Oxbridge and 26% of the cohort will be going onto study medicine it was revealed today.
The league table topping school has again achieved outstanding results with 89% of its students gaining A*-A and 96% A*-B grades this year. 66% have gained places at Russell Group universities with 100% gaining top university places worldwide.
“We are absolutely thrilled that so many of our students are going onto top universities and have gained places to study some of the UK’s most competitive courses” said Cardiff Sixth Form College Principal, Gareth Collier. “What we aim to do at Cardiff is to really stretch bright young people through inspirational academic teaching with lots of one-to-one support, a super curricular programme of academic societies, lectures and tutorials as well as top class careers guidance and work placement schemes so that they can reach their potential.
“We have very experienced and dedicated teaching staff, many of them examiners in their own right and the school is gaining a tremendous reputation, not just in the UK, but all around the world.”
