On Thursday 18th January an array of musical stars performed in CSFC’s very own Esteddfod in Cardiff Bay. The brave young dancers, singers and muscians stood in front of the packed audience to play, sing and dance to their favourite songs.Whilst many performed in English, we were also treated to performances in several other languages, which reflected the diverse mix of cultures at the College.
Congratulations to all the performers, comperes and very supportive audience of students and teachers. A really good event and what a fantastic opportunity to perform in the Wales Millennium Centre – home of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.Well done everyone!
Principal Mr Collier praised their performances: “I would like to formally thank Georgina Hughes and her team of student and staff helpers who enabled such a spectacular display of talent and for the performer’s themselves who took the ‘risk’ of performing in front of peers and those less familiar to entertain and showcase their abilities. In the words of Albert Einstein, ‘Creativity is Intelligence having Fun!’ I am delighted to have observed so many intelligent people displaying their creativity and having fun.”
